Blue Elegance & Lightness: Julia & Alex’s Dream Wedding in Mallorca

It’s Friday night, and it’s wedding time again! We kicked off another exciting wedding season with Julia and Alex, and we couldn’t have asked for a more stunning start. As established Mallorca wedding planners, we are well-acquainted with the island’s unique challenges that come with planning a wedding each year.

While 2022 meant we finally left the pandemic behind, the travel industry had its own set of hurdles to overcome. Airport chaos, flight cancellations, and the skyrocketing transport and shuttle prices made things more complicated than ever. But that didn’t stop us from having fun, nor did it deter our amazing couples from enjoying their special day.

Planning the dream wedding is what we do best, and we certainly delivered for Julia & Alex!

The First Day in Palma – A Mediterranean Welcome

Once all the guests had safely arrived in Mallorca, we organized a get-together for Julia & Alex at the incredible Mar de Nudos in Palma. The venue is ideally located right in the city, offering a fantastic view of the harbor and some of the most luxurious yachts in Mallorca. From this spot, the Palma skyline at night is breathtaking, and the restaurant offers exquisite Mediterranean cuisine.

Wedding Day Excitement

The wedding fever set in the next morning! Julia and Alex had invited all their guests to a nearby hotel to truly make the most of the time together.

The getting ready process began early, and the bridesmaids had a blast preparing. Our talented stylist, Rebecca, not only creates the most stunning makeup looks but is also a wonderful person, as you can see from every photograph.

The groomsmen had their fair share of fun, too, as they relaxed by the hotel pool while we were already hard at work.

A Breathtaking Son Marroig Wedding Venue

The wedding venue for Julia and Alex was nothing short of spectacular. Son Marroig is one of the most beautiful and exclusive locations on the island. Perched above the sea, it boasts an incredible panoramic view that is hard to beat. We believe it’s one of the World’s Top 10 Wedding Venues, and we recommend it to any couple looking for a luxury wedding in Mallorca. If you want to get married by the sea and your budget allows, this is certainly worth considering.

Son Marroig’s sunset views are some of the most beautiful in the world, and the atmosphere of the venue is even more magical than any photo can capture. Getting a date at this venue is highly competitive, so we were grateful to help Julia and Alex secure their dream date.

Emotional Ceremony & Family Moments

On June 10th, Julia & Alex finally said “I do,” and I had the honor of conducting their emotional ceremony. There were goosebump moments, especially when their little daughter came forward. The ceremony included a beautiful ritual that moved everyone to tears, reflecting the deep appreciation and gratitude from both family and guests.

As a wedding officiant, the most rewarding part is always incorporating the emotions of the parents and giving them a place in the ceremony.

For their exit, we had the soulful “You’ve got the love” playing, and Julia & Alex were showered with flowers as they walked down the aisle.

A Celebration of Love and Fun

After the ceremony, the party mood kicked off immediately. Guests were led to the welcome reception with lively drum beats by Karim, and our favorite Spanish guitarist played his tunes, ensuring everyone was in the party spirit.

Julia was absolutely stunning in her I am Yours wedding gown, made of delicate tulle. As much as we aren’t always fans of tulle, this dress was simply perfect for her.

The wedding’s theme was blue elegance and lightness, with the bridesmaids wearing beautiful light blue dresses and the groomsmen sporting blue suits. The guests also embraced the blue summer dress theme.

The wedding décor reflected this theme with soft colors, transparent elements, and light floral arrangements. We chose a minimalistic yet elegant approach for the ceremony, ensuring that the Greek temple at Son Marroig remained the focal point while creating a gentle, harmonious atmosphere.

For dinner, we combined deep blues, creamy whites, and gold accents to create a stunning ambiance. The florists did an incredible job bringing our mood board to life, capturing the essence of both the blue Mediterranean Sea and the vibrant evening sky.

Unforgettable Moments

Photographer Nicola captured every moment beautifully, and our friend Dato filmed the day, creating an authentic and memorable video to share. These memories are something we’ll cherish forever.

The entertainment was a hit, with Toni Cruz energizing the crowd with Spanish beats, and our magician, Thomas, amazed the guests with his tricks.

As always, the sunset at Son Marroig was an absolute highlight, and dinner was accompanied by emotional speeches, laughter, and good vibes. The wedding bouquet toss kicked off the party to the tune of “Girls just wanna have fun,” and the celebration was in full swing.

One of the most touching moments was the first dance between Julia & Alex, followed by the heartfelt father-daughter dance. The dance floor was packed, and the couple danced the night away to Karim’s beats.

A Wedding to Remember

This wedding was truly unforgettable. The breathtaking setting and the heartfelt moments made this day one that we will remember for a long time. Every second, every glance, and every emotion captured in this amazing location is something we’ll carry with us forever.

About Son Marroig: A Dream Wedding Venue on Mallorca

Son Marroig is one of the most enchanting places for a destination wedding in Mallorca. Located near Deià, right above the sea, with views of the Na Foradada Peninsula, this venue is rich in history and beauty. It is believed to have been built in the 15th or 16th century, and was once owned by the Austrian Archduke Ludwig Salvator, a scholar, art lover, and man who spent much of his life on Mallorca.

Today, it serves as a museum and a stunning venue for events. Son Marroig combines the history, nature, and architecture of Mallorca in a way that no other location does, making it one of the most romantic and elegant wedding venues in the world.

For couples looking for a romantic, elegant, and modern wedding in Mallorca, Son Marroig is an ideal location. However, securing a date here requires early planning, as it is often booked up well in advance. We recommend starting the planning process at least 1 to 2 years ahead of time.

The venue offers spectacular views, especially from the Greek temple, and the gardens and terraces provide endless possibilities for creative décor. Son Marroig is a true treasure for any couple looking to marry in a place full of history, beauty, and charm.
